In the Plat Records of Jefferson County, Missouri, is a certified copy of Township 42, Range 6 East, which said Township in so far as the same is contained in Jefferson County, Missouri, is composed almost exclusively of Survey Number 2991, containing 6,002.54 acres, and includes all of the land described in this Abstract.

Said Survey, as above stated, is shown on said Plat in the name of Auguste Chouteau and Antoine Soulard in right of their wives under Gabriel Cerre, and the plat on file is certified by Alton Long, the then Register of the Land Office at St. Louis, Missouri, under date July 29, 1853, to be correctly copied from the authenticated plat of said township on file in his said office. There is no patent or other evidence of confirmation on file in the Recorder's Office of Jefferson County, Missouri.

Joseph Bolinger, by Sheriff: Conveyed to Auguste Chouteau and Antoine Soulard:  Sheriff's Deed, dated May 25, 1824, recorded July 2, 1827, in Book C, page 10 and following. Consideration $210.00

Acknowledged at Jefferson County, Missouri, June 29, 1827, before open Circuit Court. Acknowledment certified by Chancey Smith, Clerk, and is in proper form.

CONVEYS all of a tract on the river Meramec, containing 7,056 arpens situate in Jefferson County, Missouri.

RECITES: That by virtue of a decree of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Missouri, based upon the petition of Auguste Chouteau and Antoine Soulard to foreclose the mortgage of Joseph Bolinger on the above described land in the sum of $14,929.92 with interest thereon and costs of annexed, did, on January 5, 1824, agreeably to said advertisement, at the Court House Door, during the setting of the said Court, expose to sale, for cash, all the uit: that said Sheriff, pursuant to the terms of said decreed, on the __ in the year of our Lord, 1823, levied upon and seized all the right, title and interest of Joseph Bolinger in and to said tract, which being advertised agreeable to law, as appears from the copy of the advertisement hereto right, title and property of Joseph Bolinger, and the same was stricken off and sold as above set forth.
